About me

I'm Stijn, and I've loved the 964 since I was a kid. Not the poster-on-the-wall kind of love only, more the "one day I'll drive one and really use it" kind.
At 18 I was already lost to mechanics and design. My first car was a Range Rover Classic that I restored myself. It was one of the last production years of the old school classic design, in an extremely rare colour, Biarritz Blue. That feeling, hands-on, learning, caring, never left.
Mid 2020 I finally took the leap. I set out to find a 964 that had a life before me: a car in excellent mechanical condition, but not a garage queen. I wanted history, use, and honesty. After viewing 11 964’s I found this one through Triple & Crown, a Porsche specialist near Amsterdam, and before buying I had a PPI at Porsche Classic Center Gelderland, the world’s largest Porsche Classic Center. They confirmed it was technically very strong and gave me a clear list of small items to address. This is exactly the kind of checklist I like to work through.
Not long after, the previous owner reached out to me and I learned the car came from the well-known Schilder automotive family in the Netherlands. That added another layer to the story and confirmed it came from a good home.
I've kept the car the way I believe these cars should be kept: driven and well cared for. Routine things like oil changes I did myself because it's part of the pleasure and part of owning a classic car. Specialist work went to trusted Porsche specialists. Every modification was researched through the Rennlist 964 forums. I wanted proven, community-tested upgrades, nothing experimental. I don't collect for shelves. I drive. And I document.
I bought this 964 as a four-seater to share with my family - day trips to the coast, weekends in the Ardennes, drives with other enthusiasts, the simple joy of a great road. But our family grew, life got fuller and busier, and a 964 isn't a practical choice for a family of five. I found myself driving it less than it deserves. That's the only reason I'm selling.
I care deeply about mechanics, aesthetics, detail, and longevity. That's how I've treated this car.
I'm not in a hurry to sell. I'd simply like this 964 to go to the right home, to someone who will keep using it, keep looking after it, and keep writing its story on the road. If that sounds like you, have a look through the gallery and the documentation. And if we meet, I'll happily tell you the rest over a coffee and a cold start.
Kind regards,
Stijn
